I never mean to be sacreligious, but the past two weeks have been very dark in many senses for us here Bogopolis.com. About 12 days ago, the servers on which Bogopolis.com reside crashed – and when I say crashed I mean crashed. All four or five sites that are hosted by Bogopolis Media, including Bogopolis.com, were completely lost. There were a few days in which I wasn’t sure if I would be able to recover my sites and was unable to accurately assess the damage to the data on the servers. As with most hosting matters, this was out of my control, and the error belonged solely to my hosting company.
(I loved the line that the hosting company used in their email to me “Please use any backups you might have to rectify the situation. This of course is after several requests to their help desk to provide a backup tool – although, yes, I should have been more proactive backing the data up.)
After they brought the servers back online, I realized that all Bogopolis Media websites lost all physical files, but retained databases. While this was good for Bogopolis.com, my other sites did not fare as well. After a few more days and frequent emails with the host, I was able to bring the bulk of my hosted sites back online. That left Bogopolis.com to revive.
I am in the process of securing new server space for my hosted sites, as well as Bogopolis.com. (Hopefully the transition should be much smoother…)
Thank you for sticking with Bogopolis.com and Bogopolis Media during our darkest hour and know that we are working to bring you better service.
Stay tuned for exciting developments from Bogopolis.com and Bogopolis Media.
That’s right, folks – The Hamburglar has stolen my burger joint – The Burger Joint.
As described over a year ago, The Burger Joint has provided a safe haven to those New Yorkers who don’t mind somewhat of a dive at the expense of delicious, cheap burgers.
But, alas, The Burger Joint has succumbed to the hands of The Hamburglar (albeit temporarily) and thousands of burger-driven New Yorkers have been robbed of a taste of paradise – one that cannot be matched.
Don’t fear, though, The Burger Joint will once again fight back (in about a month) and reign over his arch nemesis – at what will hopefully be a beautiful (and hopefully more modern) facility.
For those of you who have visited me (or live) in New York, you understand the power that The Burger Joint wields over your stomach.
May The Burger Joint come to live another day!
Well, folks…
I guess you could say that as of 9:30 am yesterday morning I became an official resident of New York state.
After living in New York City for almost two years my Indiana identification card finally expired on June 1.
After an early morning wakeup call, document preparation, a ‘little’, and a trip to the wrong DMV – I got what I came in search of: proof of my residency: a New York State identification card.
Here’s to more fruitful time as a New York State resident.
Yes, we had to put up the color bars for awhile, but I think we’re in good shape. No, we’re not ready to debut the new design, yet, but we are ready to start serving you again.
Get your Bogopolis on!

Pregnant lady chases pirates at box office
The contents of the article: …
Let me know – I’m very curious as, to what this article could represent.
Ok, so it’s not my own book (that’s in the works, though), but did I ever tell you guys that I was involved with publishing a friend’s book about 2-3 years ago?
It’s called Rafting With Grandmother that chronicles the trip of an adventurous lady who recounts the trip she took once with her granddaughter to the Grand Canyon.
The grandmother was like a grandmother to me when I was going up in Indiana and I felt very honored to help her with this book.
Nellie is an awesome lady who, up until a few years ago, was still flying her airplane cross-country.
Checkout the partially cached book at Google Books and see for yourself.
Hey all.
I know I skipped out this past week – hopefully you’re still with me (of course, you are – this is Bogopolis.com).
Anyway, I’d like to present a history lesson on velcro – something we all love (even if it’s deep down inside)…
Enjoy
