Delivery Service Experience – Domino’s Pizza

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

So after my previous post on delivery service in Harlem, I was finally able to get pizza delivered to my apartment – from Domino’s.

Now save me the lecture on what’s good pizza or not, because I know what good pizza is.

Anyway – I was particularly impressed with Domino’s ability to track my order once it was ordered.

Domino’s Pizza Tracker was incredible! It provided a real-time analysis of where my pizza was and gave it a personal touch by telling me who was doing the work on the pizza at that given time.

Now that’s “You’ve got 30 minutes” with style and technological pizazz!

Food Delivery in Harlem 10027

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

It doesn’t exist and it makes me really upset!

I moved to Manhattan 1 month ago expecting the beautiful pleasures of Delivery.com, Fresh Direct and countless others.

Nada. Zilch. Nada.

OK. It’s no that bad but the delivery options from delivery.com are so incredibly horrible and I have to ask: “Where is that ‘Manhattan touch’ that I was expecting? Where is the incredible feeling of being able to be Sandra Bullock in ‘The Net’ and not have to leave my apartment?”

Seriously – people.

While I surely won’t suffer, I do have to wonder really where is technology leading us in today’s society? Will it be able to stand the test of time?
